Acer laptop free online troubleshooting

my dvd+r does not seem to fit my dvdrw drive on my aspire, therefore when i put in the drive it does not recognize that there is a dvd in it. are there different types of dvd's?

As far as I know, both DVD+R & DVD-R only come in one size, the same size as a standard CD. However, some DVD drives are compatible only with DVD-R, not DVD+R, so it's a matter of the disc-type you use, not the disc-size.

Try using DVD-R instead.
