Cd dvd fix windows 7

Hello,
my dvd rw does not quickly read disc. It takes time, you have to load and eject for several times before it can read the disc. the disc will spin and then stop. what is the possible problem. can any body help to fix the problem?

Check the Data/power cable for the drive are connected properly??
What is the age of your drive??
How often this happens??
for all discs or particular ones??

DVD drives do fail due to the laser dying, you could try a lens cleaner, but these drives are very cheap now so I recommend that you get a new drive.
