UT under Linux has locked FPS at 50 when online

I've had this problem for some time and have yet to find an answer.
Maybe some of the linux peeps can advise.

UT runs great on my Mandrake 9.2 install in a local game, very high
frame rates when playing offline. Yet, if I play online, my frame
rates are locked in at 50 fps, no matter what netspeed setting. I
have ut2k3 running under linux also, and it has the same odd FPS cap
when playing online. Does anyone else see this? Is there some
setting that affects this phenomenon or is it a Linux system tick rate
issue?

Thanks, the thread is helpful with ut2k3 and I had forgotten about
that setting, but there is no framerate cap setting for UT. Anyone
have ideas on good ole UT and why I would see such odd results with
it?

Have you tried putting the setting there nonetheless? One of the people
in that thread also said the setting was missing in UT2k3, but still
putting it in the ini file an setting it to false works.

have the same problem. Mine is locked at 100. But it just doesn't feel like
100. Offline, it plays with 250-300 on the average.
Still haven't got the solution :(

I'll test this also on ut2004.

Hmmm... I think this assumption is incorrect. UT2003 does not cap it @
90fps. Iv`e had over 170+ FPS while playing online with UT2004 with VSYNC
Disabled. Try setting your netspeed higher as that will increase FPS.
