Hi All,

I am having ASUS F8Vr laptop with SATA I interface. I am thinking of buying a SATA III SSD HD. As per the spec, SATA III should work on SATA I. But when I was going through this link http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-agility-4-sata-iii-2-5-ssd.html#specifications, it does not explicitly specify SATA I compatibility. Is this something I should be worried about?

Going for SATA III keeping in mind that in case I upgrade the laptop in the near future.

Thanks in advance ...

Solution
It should be fine. They are backward compatable.

On some of the SATA III HDDs, there is a jumper to set them to SATA I mode, but the Ocz SSDs don't have any jumpers. You just plug them in.
