I have a Asus P8P67 Pro motherboard and a Core i7 2600 CPU. I'm using 4 2G sticks of Gskill F3-12800CL7-2GBECO RAM. The only overclocking is that I have the RAM overclocked to get the spec-ed 1600.
I have twohard drivess installed. One is has W7 64bit and the other XP Home.
The problem I'm having is every once and a while when I restart or cold boot I get a message saying overclocking failed and I have to press F1 and enter set up. I make no changes and everything works fine. This only happens once every 10 or 15 starts.
I ran Memtest for 3 passes with no errors. I also ran Prime95 for 4 hours with no problems.
Any suggestions?

Solution

Yes, increase it slightly - to 1.200 volts. Let the computer run for a couple of days and keep an eye on the temps.

I don't know if you have sorted this yet but I had pretty much an identical problem on a P8P67 evo and it was down to the board being faulty even though it was a B3 version. I got it replaced and it works perfectly now and runs a stable 4.3ghz overclock with now issues what so ever.

Increase in small increments of 0.050 volts each time. And after each increase, let the computer run for a few hours. Like I said earlier, do not exceed 1.350 volts (even though the specs on the Intel site will tell you 1.502 volts).

Did I mention not to exceed 1.350 volts?

This is my second B3 board. My first was a P8P67.
