Upgrading from 9400GT on a $180 budget (Total n00b)

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming- Borderlands, Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: EVGA 9400 GT 1GB and a ModXStream Pro 700W

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Intel Quad Core @ 2.66 GHz, 4 GB DDR3 1333, Coolermaster HAF 922 case and I haven't decided which mobo to get yet.

PARTS PREFERENCES: ASUS, EVGA, MSI, Sapphire, and XFX. Specifically looking at the 5770.

OVERCLOCKING: Yes SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes but later

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080-Want to run all my games on this res.

The 5770s are your best option.

All of the ones in your link are great. I prefer the looks of the stock cooler/cover but the 3rd link with the custom cooler cools better (although it dumps heat into the case).

1 and 3 have double lifetime warranty so if in 6 months 1 year you want to sell better resale value

I have #3 its great but no memory cooling it cools GPU only

although have not had an issue overclocking the memory but I have not taken it far
don't worry about #3 heating up your case...it will not just does not get that hot
although I have pretty good cooling but poor cable management.
