Is anyone else having graphical problems after applying the 3204 patch for
Windows?
I can load and play UT2k4 for approx 10 minutes with no problems, both
online and offline play, with different maps, gametypes and 10-24 players.
BUT after about 10 minutes, the map I'm on suddenly reacts like I've hit a
BSP area, with walls vanishing and random textures appearing and major
interface issues?
Tweaks I've made:
- Increase the "TimeMarginSlack" to combat the over-sensitive "Speed Hack"
setting from Epic.
- Disable "UsePrecaching" to speed up map load times.
I don't see how that would produce the effects I'm seeing?
Any help? At All?
Cheers
Nitefoll
P.S. It's NOT my graphics card as I can play every other 3D game I own with
no problems at all.

Try switching to OpenGL - see our FAQ, in the UT2003 section. It's valid
for UT2004 too.

If removing the patch fixes the problem, then I would simply wait for
the next patch. From what I hear, it's due out any time.

Shouldn`t have applied the patch. You should have logged onto the " Atari
Forums " and see the amount of people having problems after installing this
patch. You can not go back but you`ll have to reinstall UT2k4 again or wait
for the iminent patch to be released.

Hi there!
I don't know whether it is the patch or not, but I've been experiencing
"graphic lags" in UT2004. Don't think it happened before prior to the
patching. No matter how often I restart the game the problem would stay
until I reboot my system. It p*sses me off when I complain online and people
think I'm winding

Thanks for all the info guys, I'll try the new 3236 patch today to see if
this fixes the problems. if not I'll switch to OpenGL.
