Mobo/chipset requirements for HD, 1080p, Super hi res & high bit rate

What should I look for in mobo/chipset to have a system with true:
a. Super high resolution/high bitrate video
b. HD video playback on Sandy Bridge systems
c. High bitrate 1080p videos
d. HDMI & DVI

How are the above linked to processor and monitor capabilities/specs ?

The mobo specs is really irrelevant, as long as it's compatible to the cpu. Any modern cpu can play that and you already stated SB. As long as the monitor has a resolution of 1080p then you're fine. Will you be using the integrated or a discrete graphics card?
