No BIOS on start up

When I start my ASRock EXtreme4 computer, I get a blank screen until I get the status bar on Vista Business OS. So I never see where to choose to enter BIOS or the Tuning software at start up. Please help

If you know which key to press, repeatedly press that key (delete key?) as the computer is starting up. It will display the BIOS.

Yes, press the delete key at boot until it enters BIOS. Once there, you can set the ASRock BIOS logo screen to on (should have been on by default)

You must repeatedly hit he 'delete' key during startup.

I did hit delete multiple times usually until I get into the bios but it doesnt work on this one.

Usual keys to try are:
F8, F10, F2

Basically try those for a start, then try the rest of the function keys at startup, if none of the others work.

The "Delete" key is the BIOS key on the ASRock Extreme. So, it's the keyboard.

Using a different keyboard I get the same thing, blank screen with the cursor and AB at the bottom right of the screen. Is shows a black screen with 99 then A2 then A3 then finally AB. Thats when it loads up normal.

Still, try different "F" keys to get into BIOS. F1, F2, F8...

yes I did with the same results. I did find an article about someone having the same problem. it turned out to be the hdmi going to the display. So he used an adapter to get into the uefi. I also am using hdmi on a tv, so I will try another display and connection method.

You did not mention you were using a TV as a monitor.

Sorry I didn't say that before about using a tv. But I was able to access the uefi I just think it was on the other tv. Guess I will make that change later today amd keep you informed.

Problem fixed, when I went to my plasma I was able to get into uefi. No go on the small lcd. Thanks to all info given.
