I have an old Coolpix 900S that has a broken connection in the swivel bit.
Contacting Nikon for spares was easy, but the price of the spare part was
just a little under the price of a complete new camera (same model).
If it has sentimental value, then only you can decide if a repair would be
worth it. See what Nikon say (contact phone numbers via their web site).
