Hard drive PLEASE HELP

I have a hp a400 i believe. And i recently uninstalled xp and reformatted and tryed to install windows 2000. Long story short i unplugged the hardrive and now the computer wont detect it. So i cant install windows until it does. Do please tell me what my problem is. Your help is truly appreciated. God bless

if your system is in warranty no need to do anything, just take it to a center

What was the need to unplug the hard drive.? Have you plugged it back properly.? Are all the connections including power connection properly secured.?

go to bios settings and make sure cd is set up in boot up instead of hard drive then after its installed set it back to hard drive
