Dropped hard drive

Hello,
I have dropped my external drive can someone help please?

help to do what? pick it up? is it heavy?

If it was a hard disk drive, then you may have caused unrecoverable data loss. If it was flash drive, then your data is probably fine.

If it is a normal external hard drive, it depends on the height you dropped it from and what it landed on. I have had drives that have fallen 3 or so feet onto carpet and been fine. If it fell 5 feet onto cement then your probably screwed.
