Need help deciding which hardrive

so my hard drive died on my laptop and i just got a seagate momentus 750gb 2.5 in hard drive, this is awesome but for christmas im getting all the parts for my first build and im wondering if everything will work. this is because my OC is windows 7 home premium 32 bit, thats the problem im not sure if my new desktop will be able to use the 32-bit operating system?

What kind of license did you get with the laptop? OEM. or Retail? Are you replacing the laptop, or adding a desktop so you have 2 computers?
As far as will a 32 bit OS work, the answer is yes. Can you use your existing copy of Windows 7? maybe.
If you need to buy a new copy, you might as well get the 64 bit.
