How can I get information from a brken flash drive?

My son's flash drive got bent when his xbox fell. Now he can't get any information off of it. ANy suggestions?

The usb port got bent off?
I had the same problem earlier with a freaky accident that ended in a bent USB wireless device.

I opened it up and the joint from the USB port and the board was severed, I grabbed my solder gun and fixed it up, worked fine after.

Same thing should work for the flash drive as long as the internal board is fine, just resolder the connections of the USB onto the board, or if it's an emergency you may just try compressing it to make contact by hand to retrieve the data.

You will need to take apart the housing, carefully.
