great overall build but there are somethings that are very overpriced and unnneded that needs changing

CPU: i5 750-$200

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3-$140

GPU: XFX HD-585X-ZAFC Radeon HD 5850 1GB-$295

PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W-$80

Memory: CORSAIR XMS3 4GB(2 X 2gb)-$100

Case: Antec 300-$55

Os: Windows 7-$100

TOTAL:$971 before rebates

as you can see all I changed is the PSU to the corsair 550 watt because thats all you really need since you wont do crossfire, changed the HDD to samsung spinpoint better quality much cheaper and with the savings I put it into a better GPU that will last you longer playing all games at max

note: Cases are a personal preference but I would suggest you get the HAF 922, also I dont do compos

Thanks, for your suggestions since I actually planned on getting a 550W PSU initially but read I needed more power down the road for an OC later in the year. So I can save some money by going back to a lower W PSU. I will also def grab that storage for some savings as well as look into the case you suggested.

batuchka, I really was looking for an i5 build but I will look into some of the combos you suggested besides mobo and cpu
