(Dell Dimension Desktop with
Running Windows XP Professional.
Has linksys ethernet pci card & also am trying
now to use a linksys usb wireless adapter but with same result.

PRoblem also occurs with direct connect to DSL modem directly.
Other PCS work fine when connected directly and through router.

Connects to
Linksys Wireless-G Router.
but has "limited connectivity" no internet connection works.

Other PCs on wireless network:
Dimension 8100 with Linksys Wireless Internal
Precision Laptop with built-in wireless.
(Both Connect properly with no problems)

Attempted but did not fix:

(1) Reinstalling Windows XP Professional
(2) Reinstalled new network card in differnt PCI Slot
(3) Installed USB Wireless Adapter
(4) Netsh reset command @ cmd prompt
(5) Connected directly to modem (other pcs work doing this)

Suggestions on what to try next?

If this is the problem PC, the immediate reaction is: hardware problem. But
you've already tried a new NIC card. Have a different cable on hand?

Has system been checked for spyware/adware? You've tried the netsh /reset
to fix that aspect but if spyware remains it could still be interfering.
Wouldn't hurt to run an antivirus program that has been updated with
current virus definition files either.

This article shows a command slightly different than what you've posted
(netsh Winsock reset):
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=892350

Settings for firewall and other internet security programs have been
checked?

Sorry, no answers. Just more suggestions.
