Will ASUS P6X58D-E fits 2x Asus 6950 DCII ?

Hi All,

Hopefully someone out there have a same setup so I can get an easy answer.

Going to built a rig and wanted to get P6X58D-E motherboard and 2x Asus 6950 DCII but I am wondering if P6X58D-E PCIe slots will be able to accomodate the 2x DCII GPU cards as we know each 6950 DCII takes 2.5 slots space.

FYI P6X58D-E PCIe Slots 1 and 2 needs to be used according to P6X58D-E manual however there is a gap in between slot 1 and 2 so I'm hoping that'll it'll fit both the cards, not sure...

I don't own that setup; someone here who does is welcome to chime in and prove me wrong but:
I have measured and I do not believe two 6950 DCIIs will fit - looks like it needs one more full slot. Even if it did, the fans of the first card would be backed up against the 2nd card causing severe airflow problems.
