I'm not an expert but I think that u better buy 2GB ddr2 instead of 1GB ddr3 or buy 2GB ddr3 because newer games all requiers at least 2GB or more

budget minded...mmm

how about these?:

CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 240, a dual core with 1MB L2 cache and 65W TDP
Motherboard: Biostar TA785G3, just in case you can't afford a good graphic card yet
RAM: Corsair DDR3 Value Select 2GB PC10660 , the name speaks for itself
Case + PSU: In Win Griffin (With Power Man PSU), check out the review on Tom's
HDD: WDC 500GB SATA 32MB - Caviar Black, designed for gaming at a good deal

last, but not least:

GPU: ATI HD5570, low power consumption and price with reasonable performance

This setup is best paired with a mid-class monitor with 1440x900 or 1680x1050 resolution. The rig is also power efficient, since the CPU and GPU consumes relatively low power.

Hope this helps!
