RAM PROBLEM!! Tags: Memory RAM CPUs Product Last response: May 3, 2011 7:45 PM in Memory Share tvvism May 3, 2011 6:48:42 PM Here are the specs of my computer i5-2500k gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3-B3 MOBO win 7 64-bit my problem is i had patriot g2 ddr3 1333mhz 1.65volt 2x 4gb installed and in windows and cpu-z showed 8gb's of memory ( i put them in slots 2 and 4) now i upgraded to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... when i installed the ram and put it in the same slots it only shows 4gb of ram and in cpu-z it shows that in ram slot # 4 nothing shows up. I kno the mem slots are fine because with the previous ram it showed both slots working, it cant be a bent cpu pin because if that was the case on my previous ram set up it wouldnt have showed 8gb. only thing i can think of is to maybe reset bios//cmos? any help will be much appreciated More about : ram problem tvvism May 3, 2011 6:50:06 PM btw reason why i upgraded is because i want to OC and i heard its bad to OC i5-2500k with a 1.65 volt ram. m 0 l Emperus a b } Memory a c 81 à CPUs May 3, 2011 7:37:03 PM Sounds like a bad memory stick..
