Bit of help

My first post so hi

my build is

Coolermaster Elite 330 Case with Coolermaster eXtreme Power 460W PSU
NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT
intel q6600 quad core
2 gb of ram 800mhz
700 gb WD HD
asus p5n-d mobo with SLI
vista 32 bit


So i made my build and im gonna install another NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT so i can use SLI and upgrade my ram to 2 x 2gb sticks do you think this would be a good idea and what ram should i get etc just need a bit of help to help improve my pc a bit more thanks guys Tom

Sounds like a solid idea, remember you'll probably need to upgrade your PSU to something a little more beefy to sustain the second 9800GT. A 600W one will be fine, make sure its a good brand like Antec or Corsair.

Oh and because your Vista is 32 Bit, it won't recognise all 4GB of RAM should you upgrade as 32 Bit OS's can only address 3.5 GB of memory at any one point.

Note to OP. The other option, if you sold the 9800gt, maybe put a little with what you got, you could get a gtx 460 instead of the sli.

ok so if i went with the 9800 sli and upgrade my ram what would you recommend i like to play alot of strategy games and sometimes mmo like aion wow but would like a good framerate, and should i go to 64bit cheers

I would definitely go to 64 bit. On 32 bit, your system won't see more than about 3.5 gb of ram.
