i have a Toshiba A660-047 laptop. it has a intel i5 450M processor and gt330M graphics card. it idles at around 40 degrees with the room temperature around 20-25 degrees. i ran blend test with prime95 and after 10 minutes of testing the temperatures crossed the 90 degrees barrier. i am not using any notebook cooler. is there a problem with the notebook cooling system?
More about450m overheating
from what I've seen, low 90's is normal for the 450M under load and it begins to thottle at 105.
another update... i disabled the turbo boost from the bios and the temps dont go above 78 degrees.
