What is the difference between mid tower and full tower

The primary differences are the height, number of Bays and MOBO support. Unfortunately there is no exact standard of each.

Typical:
Mid-Tower 3~4 5-1/4" bays, and mATX and ATX support, 7 PCIe Expansion slots
Full-Tower 4+ 5-1/4" bays, and mATX, ATX, and many EATX support, 7+ PCIe Expansion slots

No, mid-tower and full tower relates to size of computer cases, mini-ATX and ATX relates to the size of motherboards.
