Which tv card?

Hi I have got A toshiba A500 laptop runing wndows 7 64 bit . I was just wandering what do I need to look for when buying a tv tuner for my laptop? will I be able to pick up tv anywhere? are there different signal strengths for them? if so what strength is the best to pick up a signal out and about? thanks
