Basic specs:

Processor : intel core 2 duo P8600 (2.4 GHz, L2 3MB FSB 1066MHz)

Memory: 3GB DDR2 SDRAM

I have a choice to buy any of these

A. P8600 VHB HD4330 256 MB/BT (This is the standard version)

B. P8600 VHB HD4330 512 MB/BT (+$18)

C. P8700 VHB HD4330 256 MB/BT (+$18)

D. P8700 VHB HD4330 512 MB/BT (+$40)

E. P8600 VHP HD4330 512 MB (+$50)

F. P8600 VHB HD4330 512 MB/BT (+$70)

Would any of the upgrades (from A) justify the extra budget, in terms of making the playability of starcraft 2 better? I only plan to use the laptop for school and starcraft 2, no other games.

Also, would upgrading to 4GB ram make the playability of starcraft 2 significantly better?>

Thanks alot

All the graphics cards are pretty much the same. Get the 512MB version for +$18 but all the options are reletively weak.

Your main problem is your processor. Starcraft 2 is not very graphics intentive, in fact the graphics is only average, the game is more processor intensive.

More RAM would probably help.
