Samsung F3 1TB dying?

Hi, my samsung hdd of almost 18 months is starting to act weird recently.
On bootup, I can hear ticking sounds something that goes like tik-tik-tik about 4 times then nothing would show up on the monitor but I can hear the hdd still running.
I had to turn off and on a few times until it boots up normally.
Is this a sign of my hdd dying or is it something else? Thanks.
