In all of my games, at random times, several of the pixels on the screen go dead and are either gray or an alternate color. I try resetting my monitor and other graphic settings within the game but the problem persists. It has happened in Crysis and WoW.

System Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Premium 64bit
Graphics Card: Radeon 5870
Mobo: ASUS P55

Try a different monitor? When a few individual pixels don't behave its probably the monitor. These are the stuck or dead pixels you hear about. From what I knew they should always behave like this however.

If its not the monitor, its probably the GPU. Watch the temps, and clean the card. You might want to try one of the overclocking tools for the 5870 and down clock the card 50MHz on the core and 100MHz on the memory. Up the fan speed and see if it happens still.

If it shows up in a screen shot its not the monitor. Artifacting card would be my guess. Make sure the heatsink is clear of dust, and try again. If no dust or still happens, try downclocking slightly and upping the fan speed. If still happens, dead/dying card.
