More about clock speed
  1. Here's more information from the sticky about speedstep/ cool n quiet on this forum:

  2. Perfectly normal. The CPU lowers its clock speed and voltage when not under load to save power and stay cooler.
  3. If this is a worry for you or seems odd, just go into the BIOS and disable Intel Speedstep, this will active the CPU to run at full Clock Speed and Voltage set. (Meaning you will see VERY to No Moment in the clock speeds)
