What games are you trying to play? A Pentium 4 1.4 is too old to run anything recent. You probably need an entirely new system.

Yeah his right.

Mine is a Pentium D 2.8ghz bought on june 2006, can run games but are in the lowest settings. I am thinking of upgrading my video card due to budget concerns.

If you have an AGP slot, then just about any AGP card you can buy at newegg will do. Even a lowly Radeon 3650 or 2600 would be overkill. A 3450 AGP would probably be a good match for your weak system. If you only have PCI slots, then I wouldn't bother.

Yes, pent. 4 that only 1.4 GHz is just not enough to play any games recently...
What is your current card?
Upgrading graphic card may boost your performance, but not much...

You have a pcie 1.0 slot and can run cards like the 8600gt or even the 8800gt, which are still viable and decent cards. If not get a 9600gt or a 9800gt.
