Hp Pavilion A420N motherboard upgrade

what type of motherboards can i upgrade to??? and what steps do i need to take to make this upgrade possible??? i was looking to upgrade the motherboard with a 3.0ghz processor but I NEED HELP!!! Thanks

  1. If you are going to spend all that money, why not get a modern, future-proof setup where you can use your same case, DVD, PSU (such as it is...) and fans? (You'll need new SATA HD, and OS too though $40+$100)

  2. make sure you check your specs Iam learning the hard way with my pavillion make sure to measure your motherboard everything in an h.p. is made to fit measure your mother board then get the specs for the new motheboard and especially your p.s.u. h.p.'s are great but they dont have alot of extra free space everything in them is made to fit just check your mesurements your self
