ATI 5770 or NVIDIA GTX 260?

I'm wondering which one of these I should get for my desktop. On the one hand, the GTX 260 performs better (according to http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html), but on the other hand it doesn't support DirectX 11 like the 5770. I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means, but I still want to be able to play games at a moderately high setting level, so what should I get?

Given the similar performance, I would go with the 5770 as not only is it new tech, but it is $40 cheaper than the 260 which is not much better

The 5770 is slightly slower from the 260, but its a newer tech and has hosts of new features and cheaper as well

The 260 will be gone pretty soon. but its a solid card

Would the slower fps be very noticeable and significant? Or will it be by just a few frames? Which one would you say is the better one to get for now? (as I do tend to eventually upgrade to something better later on in the year maybe)

What resolution ar you playing at? Realistically, if a game is causing the 5770 to struggle, the 260 isn't fairing much better. If you are looking to upgrade in time then the $40 less that the 5770 is even more of a case for buying it

I'll be playing at 1920 x 1080 (full HD I believe). Atleast that's the plan.
