Hello,
is the processor on a dell x300 soldered or socket? i dont really want to open it up to find out its soldered but if it isnt what socket is it ?

I would have to agree. Upgrading a laptop is like putting new rims on an old car - you're happy with it for a while, but eventually you still need to buy a new one.

Just look at the newer AMD Acer laptops or something. I've used a good few of them and for the price they're very powerfu with 1333 RAM :]
