hey all i need a gaming rig badly, i was looking at alienware aurora, cyberpower and ibuypower(i know alienware can be really expensive).

I dont mind building it on my own if it saves $ and if i find good parts for the rig. here is my current "build"

Uploaded with ImageShack.us" alt="" class="imgLz frmImg " />

i want to make sure that my mobo and the other parts will work when i eventually want to change the gpu to a new model in a year or 2 and be able to change the cpu to whatever intel makes that is not a i7.

right now i am happy with the total but am open to changes. 1 last question is will that rig run crysis on the highest settings? i know the 5970 is no problem but that is a little too much $ for me.

Thank you guys, if my english is bad im sorry lol

So, your budget is like 2K? Maybe consider a video card with an aftermarket cooler and the Samsung spinpoint F3 1T. It's overkill for gaming IMO.

Here's another overkill gaming system if you don't mind AMD:

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T + GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB + COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Blue

ASUS 24x DVD Writer

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB

XFX HD-597A-CNB9 Radeon HD 5970 Black Edition

CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-850HX 850W

Noctua NH-D14

$1,755.90

2k is a little to high i think, but i do want intel over amd, not a fanboy or anything but i hear better things for the i7. should i build the listed rig myself or use cyberpower or other companies?
i dont think its that hard from the videos that i seen, only problem i can think of is comparability but i guess thats ok here.

the 6k ati series will be out early 2011 so il prob stick with the 5870 for now till the 6k ones are out and are a worthy upgrade

For the best bang for the buck for a gaming system I would get something like this:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 + GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
ASUS 24X DVD+R
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
SAPPHIRE 100281-3SR Radeon HD 5870
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-850HX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
COOLER MASTER HAF 922
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Noctua NH-U12P SE2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

$1,324.88

Then I would add a second 5870.

oh nice, how good is that cpu compared to i930? why not just get 1 5970 instead of 2 5870?

anybody? my reg pc is about to die so im close to getting it but want to be 100% sure. i have no problem building it but do i have to mess around with the bios? i just dont want to mess anything up. even if i could buy a same spec rig for the same price(cyberpowerpc) i rather build it for the fun of it. i build rc kits so its my nature. btw i want to get the 5970 since i got a 60gig ssd which saves me money
