80gb hdd in caddy can only access 22 gb why

Hi. I have installed a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80Gb HHD in to a ATA caddy,but I can only access 22.2 Gb. I have tried the jumpers in all the different ways, no joy. I tried formatting the the drive but it only formats the 22.2 Gb. Can anyone Help. Surepete

seagate offers software based tools for checking your drive for problems
go to Click here and select your os and run the tool

another option
click start type cmd
type chkdsk /r
it wil ask you to reboot select y for yes and after you log in it will run a check disk and look for errors and try to repair it.
