A few days ago i purchased an OCZ Vertex 4 128GB SSD for my gaming rig. This will be my first SSD so i would like to know a little more information before i install it into my system. My goal is to have the OS on the SSD and everything else installed on my HDD. I plan to occasionally install a game or two on the SSD to take advantage of the decreased load times but most games will stay on the HDD.
My pc is currently running "Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM" on a 750GB WD HDD. What MUST be done before and after installing an SSD? Also my HDD has approximately 500GB of games installed on it so is there a way for all of my games to work with the OS on the SSD without downloading them again (from steam)?
I sadly don't have a backup hard drive so backing up or transferring ALL of my files to an external hard drive is out of the question. Any info that would help me out would be greatly appreciated!
