Is Athlon II X3 440 powerful enough at stock speed...

Athlon II X3 440 is great because of it's overclocking potential..but is it powerful enough for gaming & application at stock speed?

Should be fine for 1680x1050 gaming along with an ATI 5750 or 5770. Depends really on your expectations... Have a look at best gaming CPUs under different price points here at Tom's. Very informing!

I have an athlon II x3 440 and it runs games great, the stock cooler only let me take it to 3.3 ghz.
