so can i play all the present games and also the future games at maximum settings with a single HD 5770 at 1440*900 resolution (19" monitor) or do I need to crossfire it later. Ill not be upgrading my monitor. What is the average FPS i would get with that resolution on crysis with all maximum settings.

Based on this reply, ill upgrade my computer.

The HD 5770 will do you fine. Crysis is a very demanding game, it is an exception, not the rule. You should get pretty good frame rates.

Crysis 2 will have lower CPU & GPU requirements than the original game.

@ 1440x900 HD5770 does very good as long as other components like CPU are not slowing it down.

I have an nForce 750i sli motherboard and a E7500 2.93 Ghz dual core processor.

So what do you recommend me to buy: a HD 5770 or a GTX 260 core 216 and will the HD 5770 run perfectly on an nforce motherboard. please suggest.

HD 5770 will run fine, but the motherboard does not support CrossFire so you will not be able to add in another HD 5770 to increase performance later.

I get that but will it run smoothly on an nforce motherboard which is an nvidia chipset!!!!

As per my knowledge, I can run all the future games also with a single HD 5770 but IF I want to add another card to it, will I be able to crossfire with it or should I go with GTX cards for the SLI configuration.

Thank you

Two last questions:

1) Will a HD 5770 crossfire beat a GTX 260 SLI (2*896 MB) or will the GTX SLI be a better option.

2) I dont think that I need another card for SLI or Crossfire at 17" or 20" monitor resolutions right!!!!

thanks again for the reply
