Hello, I was just wondering, does ATX and mATX use the same power cables from the psu? Or does mATX have a special power cable? It would be very grateful if someone answered. Thanks!
Short answer,
Whatever the form factor of the Mobo,
atx,M atx, etc it will still require the 4/8 pin cpu power line and the 20+4pin line,
without those two plugged in correctly your pc will not boot
as for guides to building a pc, check out this http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/288241-13-read-posting-buyer-guides-troubleshooting
and if you hang out on here you can pick up a lot of help, but be prepared to filter out sarcasm sometimes

I would also like to know where I can get a book of tips on the Internet for building computers. Thanks again!
I don't know of any books but a quick "how to build a computer" search on Google is probably enough to get you started. And, of course, you can always post here and someone will help you out.
