Can't read as in data corrupted in windows or as in drive not recognized at all? Any noise coming from the drive? Is it spinning at all? How/when did it stop working? Need more info to help. Assuming its not a corrupted data issue, try the following:
Hold it steady right next to ur ear when u plug it in and feel/listen closely to see if the drive is even spinning up. Could be several things but pretty much all of them lead to u removing the drive from the enclosure eventually.
