Data off of old HDD to new one

In the near future, I'm going to be upgrading my desktop, mobo/processor/op syst, etc. My old HDD which was running w/Vista (yea i know) has my pics and music library; how can i get them over to my new HDD?

  1. After building your new computer and have it working good, just toss the old hard drive into the system, then you can copy files as you normally do.
  2. thanks for the reply,,,, would it matter if i switch from AMD to an Intel processor?
  3. No, as long as you aren't trying to boot from it.
