Motherboard: This is where I need help, I don't really know what's compatible with what I want.

GPU: I want to get a Radeon HD 5850, and would like to get a second one for crossfire when needed. However I don't know which manufacturer to go with.

RAM: I'm thinking somewhere between 4-8gigs, but I don't know which brand, and things like what voltage I need to looking for.

Case: I guess this is dependent on the motherboard, I'm open to any suggestions.

Monitor: I'll be buying my monitor locally, hopefully with a resolution of 1920x1200.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm new to this so I want to make sure all the parts work together.

The Mobo for P55 to get would be an Asus P7p55D-E Pro.

However, if this is just a gaming rig, then you can just get a Phenom II x4 955 and Ga 790 UD4. Very minor difference in gaming for a lot less.

GPU: Any major brand is fine, so GA, Asus, XFX, Sapphire all work fine.

Don't think build will be under $1000 including a monitor. Do you also need OS?
