How do I remove the keyboard to access the memory slots on a Dell Latitude E6420?

Register or log in to remove.

Actually, you will be relieved to learn that you do not need to take off the keyboard to get at the memory slots on your Latitude E6420. If you flip the computer over so you are looking at the bottom of it, you will see that there are 9 phillips screws labeled either "D" or that have a hard drive icon next to them. Remove these 9 screws (including the one right beneath the service tag/express service code label!). You do not need to remove the two keyboard screws (they have a keyboard icon next to them). The bottom cover will then pivot up and off from the back of the computer. You will then see the two SDRAM slots in the middle/front of the bottom side of the computer.
