Need help !!!!!!!!! hd 5850

hi guys, first i was looking to buy a gtx 260, but then i wasnt able, now i have the opportunity to get a ati radeon hd 5850, but ive never used ati.}

is it a good card???? will it run good with my system???

my specs are the following:


intel core 2 duo e7400 oced to 3.33Ghz

4 gigs of Ram

corsair tx650w PSU

right now i have a 9800 gt

250GB hard drive

MSI MS-7525 motherboard

22" samsung monitor max resolution 1650x1050

Its a good card, a fair bit better than a GTX260 and it'll run all your games maxed out.

Your CPU may hold it back slightly in games that are CPU intensive like BFBC2. Everything else is fine.

Make sure you uninstall all nVidia stuff with driver sweeper before you install your HD5850.

do i run driver sweeper before or after uninstalling the drivers??? thx


one more question, i have to uninstall everything that is from nvidia from the control panel in uninstall a program, right? and just that and then run driver sweeper

Yep Control panal>Add or remove programs>Nvidia shizzle>driver sweeper>shut down>take out old card>put in new card>install latest ATi drivers from website> Play games :)
