http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEnginehttp://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngineI core2duo e6600, 4 1gb sticks of ram and a BFG 7900gt 512mb in my computer. After 4 years of service, the powersupply I was using died taking out my video card with it.

I went to the store and replaced my powersupply with a Antec Earthwatts 430. After sending in my video card to BFG, they sent me back a GTS250 1gb instead.

Now I am in a dilemna I am nervous that the Antec Earthwatts 430 may not be enough for the GTS250 which is a MUCH newer card. According to a review of the GTS250 I found: "BFG Tech GeForce GTS 250 video card requires a 475 Watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 26 Amps on the +12V "

The Earthwatts is short on overall power, and it only has 17amps for each of the 12v rails.

Thank you so much for helping a newb trying to learn his way :)

Edit: After using this power supply calculator: http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine It claims minimum wattage as 287, and recomended as 337. I am still nervous about the 12v rail amp rating though.

Solution
The EA430D has 32A between its two 12V rails giving it 384W from those two rails, it has plenty of power for the GTS250. The rest of your system isnt very power hungry either so you will be fine.
