I think i have fried my old card somehow not really sure. I pulled the card to add some heat syncs to memory and when I put it back in the system refuses to even power on with it in the case. It will not turn on a think lol. So, with my budget and the fermi really pushing that, what should I get here? I could crossfire the 5770 at its price very soon in the future or should I go up to the 256bit cards? Have been ati for few years now but miss nvidia sometimes.

More about : 5770x2 5830 465 fermi

Pull the card again. Check the PCI Express slot for any dust or debris that may have gotten into it. Reseat the card and try again.
What PSU do you have? There's a big difference in power draw between a HD4770 and a Fermi. What is your monitor's resolution? A single HD5770 may do quite well for you.

Out of the 3 option, 2 x HD5770 is going to have substantially better performance than the others.

I had added another hdd to recently to make a raid+0 and also have alot of OCing in the puter at the moment so going to try removing 1 of the hdd's and reseting mobo back to factory settings. Computer will boot fine off onboard or with older video card in the pcie x16 slot
