Upgrade Memory

I want to upgrade my RAM but im not sure what brand goes with my motherboard and i dont want to buy the wrong one and pay extra money.

Here are my System specs
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)

I have 3Gb of ram and i would like to get Ethier another gig (2x 1Gb) or another 3 gb (2x 2Gb) because i would replace the 2 1/2 Gb and exchange for ethier 2 1Gb or 2 2Gb.

I would like to know the most reliable and cheapest option to go. Thanks

In order to choose the best ram, you'll need to know your motherboard manufacturer and then visit their website to check for their approved memory list. If this is a Dell or something similar then you'll need to look up your system information on that website.
