There are only two.

Christmas and New Year's Day.

But then there is always...

....Christma-kwansa-hannedon...for the shamelessly PC among us.

Merry Christmas.

Many thanks, and the same to you and your family.

Please ignore the oafs and idiots here who think they are so highly amusing.

Merry Christmas to you and all here too.

It looks like Australia will be further Americanised, as some have started
saying Happy Holidays here this year, instead of Happy Christmas. Previously
people didn't take offence if someone wished them happy Christmas if they
weren't religious or of another faith. I don't see why we should change that.

Thus spake Sam.

Well I guess that settles that, then.

Good for you. Merry Christmas, too.

Now, if someone else wishes me a "good", "merry" or "[whatever]" ahead of
"[their holiday observance of choice, if any]", I am not offended in any way.
I never was and never would be.

If someone dislikes being wished a "Merry Christmas", regardless of their
belief or faith, if any, that's THEIR problem.

Topical Content: I used my Canon 20D today. It worked fine.

You obviously didn't understand the point.

I asked that because "Happy Holidays" is so non-specific, it is about as
bland and wimpy a greeting as one can possibly say. It has become more and
more popular as a result of this politically numb, non-specific,
afraid-to-offend trend, and that was simply my minor statement in response.

This was clearly lost on you.

Amazing. Someone who actually googles to find posts instead of just asking their
question on a newsgroup.

Should I also remove "Software Engineer" and Melbourne and Australia from my
sig? Someone searching for them would also see my post in the search results
simply because I have those words in my sig.
