Sapphire Toxic HD5970 4GB

Hello all,

Does anyone have a clue? I recently put together a new machine based on an Asus P6X58D Premium mobo (BIOS 0808), an Intel Core i7 980X CPU, Corsair HX1000W PSU, 12 GB Corsair DDR3-1600 Dominator RAM and a Sapphire Toxic HD5970 4GB videocard and some more.

The Sapphire is brand new (a few days old) but shows artefacts in 2D mode.

No artifacts in 3D mode? Run furmark and see if it starts producing artifacts. If it does i would RMA it to Sapphire.

Update your BIOS specially that you have a new generation GPU (4G 5890).

Did you stress your new machine(prime95, memtest,furmark)?
