Compatibility for the amd athlon x2 7850 black edition

ok so i have the gigabyte ga-m55plus-s3g (old mobo) which has socket am2, just wondering if amd athlon x2 7850 black edition cpu (am2+) would work on my mobo, i plan to use it with 2gb ddr2 800mhz ram, 512mb gddr3 zotac geforce 9500gt, 250gb hard drive (all of which i have and cannot get new ones T_T). if it does please tell the bios version and everything as i do not understand.....

that board does not support any current/previous gen processors, the most powerful cpu you can use is the x2 6400+
