So get this, I paid a stupid amount for two Patriot Wildfire 120GB drives about a year ago because they were supposed to be the fastest drives on the market. I've had problems with them just plain disappearing out of the system requiring a cold reboot. I've put up with the problem because it doesn't happen all that often. Firmware updates did not solve the problem so I finally got around to enquiring about RMA.
Their solution is to replace my top of the line Wildfire with their second tier Pyro drives despite the fact that RMA of a system drive is a massive inconvienience. They don't offer to clone the faulty drive onto the replacement drive or anything.
I don't care if they've since taken the Wildfire off the market because it's a piece of *** or whatever. This is freaking ridiculous.
Screw Patriot. Trust me, don't buy their products. I've bought two Crucial M4's that have worked beautifully.
