Cpu or mobo problem

Yesterday i was fixing a laptop for someone a toshiba satillite a45 and it was overheating ( stating up fans going crazy then turning off on its own) simple fix open it up re apply thermal gel then clean the heat sinks.... after putting it back together i tried to start it up and the fans go on for a few seconds then stop and the power light stays on but nothing on the screen no beeps no hdd movement i tried to plug in a screen but that didn't help i also pulled the processor the ram the hard drive and nothing seemed to work i also went as far as taking it completely out of the case a few times to make sure the mobo wasn't bent nothing what do these symptoms lean towards please help btw if i let it sit for a little while its on the fans start back up but more slowly

when it turns on do you see bios before it goes black?

no theres nothing

Before you opened it up and did all that stuff were you able to see bios?

yea it would load up and stay on for about 10 mins then shut down but now nothing happens except the power led staying on and the fans running

Seems like a display problem, or you damaged something. Is the motherboard connected to the screen well?

thats what i thought at first but then i pulgged a monitor into the back and still nothing along with that theres no sign of booting up, beeps clicks nothing

You probably damaged the motherboard then.

The test is called POST xD It tests itself everytime it boots.
